Nia has spent years proving she can build something of her own. After walking away from a comfortable situation that no longer challenged her, she arrives in the city determined to create a name that nobody can take away from her. She loves a challenge, but her need to win sometimes makes it difficult for her to trust people.
Someone from her past returns with information that could change everything she believes about her former life.
Amara knows how to light up a room, but people often mistake her charm for a lack of depth. Behind her glamorous style is a woman determined to build financial independence and stop being underestimated. She reads people exceptionally well, although her own feelings are harder for her to understand.
A promising new connection puts her in the middle of a complicated love triangle.
Malik is used to being the person everyone relies on. He plans three moves ahead and rarely shows when something gets under his skin. After a major setback forces him to start over, he enters the city determined to build a new future on his own terms. His biggest challenge isn't succeeding—it's learning when to let other people help him.
An old friend offers him an opportunity that sounds perfect, but the details don't add up.
Andre is the guy who can make strangers laugh and friends feel like family. He has a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a habit of hiding serious problems behind jokes. He's ready for a fresh start, but his reputation follows him into every new room.
A former love interest arrives with a secret that threatens the life he's trying to build.
